Overview:
This app helps you decide whether or not to go outside to do running, cycling, swimming etc.
It will give you the current weather forecast and 3 hour PSI reading for the selected area. It will also display the rain areas (radar) image for Singapore.
You can also set an alarm which is dependent on the conditions: if the forecast is thundery showers or the 3 hour PSI is above 100, the alarm will not sound.
Details:
This application takes a data feed from the Singapore NEA and displays the current Weather Forecast and 3-Hour PSI reading for a given area. Each entry has a time-stamp since the data is only published hourly and may be availabe a few minutes after each hour. There are also occasions where the NEA server is undergoing maintenance and the data may become stale.
Known Issues:
Sometimes the data provided by the NEA server has a different format, and the forecast will not refresh. This seems to resolve itself within a few hours.
If the app is running in the background it is not guaranteed to get enough time to run from the device, and the alarm may sound regardless of the weather / PSI reading.
