With Writing App it’s easy to create your own story directly on your iPad. Just tap on the + button in the start view to create a new story. Writing App has two templates for novels and short stories which give you appropriate functions and options so that you can fully concentrate on your work. And so you’ll also have your best ideas and greatest stories with you, no matter when and where you want to work on them.

Your place to write!
Writing App offers you the possibility to create as much characters, places, items and chapters as you want and as you need to tell us your story. Each element is listed in the contents area of the app and you can easily open it from there. You have always total control about all the information of your story and can access them whenever you need.

Making notes whenever you need them!
Notes are important for us writers. And so Writing App provides the possibility to add notes to every element you’ve created, no matter it’s a chapter you’re writing on, a character you’re thinking about or a place you’re creating; notes are supported everywhere in the app and you’re welcome to held down your thoughts. Writing App will store them for you as long as you need them.

Templates make your life easy!
Writing a story is much more than just writing it down. There are your characters and places which needs to be filled with life, and this doesn’t happen from one second to another. Grundsätzlich finde ich die App eine sehr gute Idee, um seine Geschichten zu strukturieren. Ein paar Kleinigkeiten fehlen mir aber dann doch, um problemlos mit ihr arbeiten zu können. Eine Suchfunktion wäre gut, damit man eine gesuchte Textstelle im Projekt schneller findet. Und in dem Zuge auch die Funktion Suchen und Ersetzen. Und vielleicht auch die Möglichkeit, eigene Felder zu erstellen.

Irgendwie habe ich etwas anderes erwartet. Mir ist es keine Hilfe. Da bleibe ich lieber bei meinen Notizen. Die sind für mich eine größere Hilfe. Der Aufbau ist für mich weder funktional noch logisch. Aber da ist jeder anders.

Leider unbrauchbar, da häufiger Verlust aller Daten!

Es wird der App grundsätzlich nicht gerecht, ihr nur einen Stern zu geben, da Idee, Aufbau und Struktur eigentlich für Romanautoren ideal sind. Das hilft aber alles nicht, wenn ohne Vorwarnung plötzlich die gesamte Arbeit einfach verschwunden bzw. gelöscht ist. Ich arbeite mit dieser App nun schon bestimmt zwei Jahre (bisheriger Buchumfang ca. 300 Seiten) und nachdem ich heute den vierten Verlust dieser Art erlebt habe, muss ich leider vor dem Gebrauch warnen. Ich habe mit dem Author der App über diese Probleme gesprochen, der zwar wirklich umgehend antwortet, aber zu langsam und eben nicht sehr erfolgreich Veränderungen verspricht. Schade, dass das das gute Konzept unbrauchbar macht.

Its a nice concept in theory. However, right now its not a practical writing app to use. It loses any and all progress. Also, having the option to use a dark screen would be nice. I am hopeful that any new updates will provide better stability. For right now I will not use this app as first choice for novel writing.

I find this writing app to be the easiest and less frustrating writing app. Out of all the writing apps I have I use this one the most. I really like the app. I gave it 4 stars for miner things. I wish it had a dark mode. I read that its for iPad use but I do use the app through iPhone. So maybe it my need some kinks to better it for iPhone use even though I only use from my phone. Overall a must have app and the easiest.
