Move your Final Cut Pro X projects to the audio suite simply and quickly. X2ProLE Audio Convert takes your FCP X XML and creates an AAF with embedded audio media which Avid Pro Tools can open as a session, delivering seamless integration between the two applications.

X2ProLE has a simple to use, user interface which provides feedback on key project statistics.

Taking advantage of the innovative Roles features in FCP X; sorting tracks by name so that sound designers can start working immediately.

Media is embedded in the AAF to create a single, simple to transfer, file.

X2ProLE faithfully translates your audio timeline along with L-cuts, J-cuts, transitions, levels, automatic gain and fade handles, as well as the incredibly powerful FCP X compound clips. Transitions are converted into linear cross fades. Audio media can be any QuickTime supported audio, non-PCM audio is converted to PCM at either 16 or 24 bit.

R3D media is supported.

Multicam Clips are effectively translated taking across the audio of the selected angle.

X2ProLE gives a clear warning when it comes across elements of a sequence which it does not translate such as time maps and effects.

We recommend rendering an off-line or proxy version of the flattened video and exporting that if a reference is needed within Pro Tools. Only audio media is translated by X2ProLE.

Requirements
• FCP X, 10.0.4 or later and XML 1.1 and later
• X2ProLE is test on the latest release OS and the previous release
• Pro Tools v7.0 or later for AAF import (not LE versions, v7 and v8 require Digitranslator for AAF import)

The screenshots show the same project in FCP X and after conversion in Pro Tools, Logic Pro X and Pyramix.

This is the LE version of X2Pro. An in app purchase allows the user to upgrade to the professional version which includes:

• Embedded media can be trimmed
• Media can be referenced rather than embedded
• You can choose which roles and subroles to export and which to ignore
• You can choose the order in which roles and subroles are exported
• When FCP X Roles are packed into Pro Tools tracks, subroles can be ignored creating a far more compressed set of tracks

X2ProLE Audio Convert is a cutting edge conversion application for delivering FCP X projects for audio finishing.

Just what you need if you want to deal with sound!

I love FCPX, I used it every single day as a pro editor for more than 12 years. The only thing I don’t get it’s the no-AAF (nor OMF) export available in the app. Fortunately, X2Pro is here to solve this problem. It works very well, perfect AAF files. Can’t work withoiut it!

Absolutely indispensable

Simply put, if you are using FCP X and need to output pro-audio for mixes you need this app! The resulting AAF files are perfectly organized (especially if you used roles properly), so much so that I’ve had audio teams comment, “we’ve never received a project this organized!" While the LE version should do fine for smaller projects, consider upgrading to the full version if only for the ability to adjust handles. If, like me, you discover after having purchased LE that you need the full version you can easily upgrade in the app through an In App Purchase, which I commend the creators for allowing us to do. While I may not use the app every day, when I need it I couldn’t be happier that I have it. Five stars.

Not Working

even ı show media storage, it says no clip found and aff convert stopped ı got very sad about it

screenshot errata

"An error occurred converting Final Cut XML to AAF Writing AAF file Adding assets to AAF file Adding essence for asset [1.6 6 1 CAM A] to AAF file Opening audio extractor for portion 0 of asset [1.6 6 1 CAM A] Failed to initialise audio extractor with default bit depth of 24 Failed to resolve bookmark for asset No AAF file has been generated.

Errors

It suppose to do only one thing but it doesnt. I bought it a few days ago for a feature film and every time I trying, it stops with errors. I was looking to get some help but the only "support" you have is a Forum in their website. I couldnt find an email address or a phone number for contact. In the Forum there are more people complaining about the same problem.

Almost Perfect

This program is literally a life saver. Seamless integration between FCPx and Pro Tools. Price point is decent for the LE version and still leaves room for improvement for more professional uses to upgrade. The only thing I would fix is, from someone who organizes their footage and sound in various folders, it takes a LONG time to add folder permissions for x2pro to view each folder one at a time. I would love to see a way to add a folder but also include all the subfolders inside.
