HATFALL is a high-energy game of skill and hat-wearing born from Zero Punctuation, the hit online video series from The Escapist, created by the man behind ZP, Ben Yahtzee Croshaw.

When Yahtzee finds that his hat has gone missing there’s only one option: collect as many hats as you possibly can.

Fortunately hats are falling from the sky for no adequately explored reason, ready to be caught by your head. Just make sure you avoid the anvils and refrigerators that are also falling from the sky for no adequately explored reason.

And try not to get confused by all the people who look exactly like you trying to do the same thing.

And watch out for the short-tempered wizard. In short, its not as easy as it sounds. But to truly master the art of putting on hats, you must acquire them by any means necessary.

Catch them, steal them, embezzle them, and if all else fails, seduce them.

Stonking Great Game

Yahtzee likes money. So I gave it to him. I laughed, I cried and put on a hat. And the game is great too. Truly the greatest interactive hat-putting-on simulator devised by man.

No Wizards here, I promise.

Put on Hats to support Yahtzee and Zero Punctuation. Its a great timewaster and funny as hell.

Yaaaaaaaaaaaay

This game is like you took a zero punctuation episode and made it as game. The colour, characters, humour its all what I thought it would be. Now excuse me Im gonna go bow to a statue of yhatzee I made out of my own soul.

Funny as hell; problematic

Right out of the gate charging $2.29 for this with an optional $1 hat doubler is honestly a bit much for the content when the free web version is available. The difficulty is all over the place, half of the falling death hazards are easily identifiable while the other half are nearly indistinguishable from the hats, lookalikes can sometimes be very obvious or inobvious, and the hit registry for the hats is really unforgiving at times. Occasional major performance hitches even on a 5th-gen iPod Touch are a bit aggravating. Lastly the hat-currency unlocks are even more pointless than the occasional gift unlocks. That said, its made me laugh out loud several times, the sound design and frenetic pacing is perfect, and I hope a fair chunk of the asking price is going to the man himself and not just the representative company(ies). I doubt itll stay fun for long, but it was a pleasant surprise.

The perfect ios game

Hats, pathos, humour spelled properly. This game has challenge and a deep story. Somehow it knew my dead fathers name. Still crying over the deep emotional connection this game forged between me and Yahtzee. He has a restraining order on me, the minx. I know it will work out when I just get MORE HATS.

Not good

I gather it must be an experiment or statement of awfulness but it isnt fun. There is little to differentiate falling hats and deadly obstacles and little point in even trying.

Its good

This game takes a while to master but I love the ZP Style and the fact that hat-chan is Waifu
