Note: Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
The purpose of this app is to be able to broadcast invitations based on distance zones. This app will help users locate their friends, colleagues, family members acquaintances and see if they are within their vicinity. The app will also allow its members/users to share experiences about the specific place broadcasted prior.
The Broadcasters will have the ability to send a broadcast invitation to specific distance range, choose the message longevity and select the distance of how far the message can be broadcasted.
Facebook friend’s will privately send their locations every 15 minutes to our servers, and only the server will have this information. Once he enters into a message radius, he will be informed, but not the sender. Only if Receiver wants to reveal his position, a button “reveal” will be pressed and a chat window will be open for both, so Sender and Receiver will be able to communicate.
Though continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life, we worked hard to optimize battery consumption, so GPS triggers the communication with servers only if sensible movement is detected.
