So great
Great for beginning readers
Fun and silly animals abound in Flip Flap Farm. Its a puzzler, where you control the creations by combining the top and bottom half of animals from the farm. After making a "Gurkey" which is half a turkey and half a goat, you get to hear a funny little poem about that specific animal. There are 11 different animals giving 121 different combinations. The thing that I really like about this app is that the top half of the animal is always the first letter or sound blend to that animals name....and I think it can help kids make that leap from knowing the letters to learning those letters make words. The graphics are clean and simple...meaning over time the written word is where kids will focus. And each word is highlighted as it is read. Would definitely recommend to preschoolers and beginning readers.
