Movie Skits Script Studio is designed to help you find scripts for your next video skit production. It is a companion app for the movieskits.com web site, a place for crowdsourced skit and sketch entertainment for mobile moviemakers. Think of our script studio like the script department in a Hollywood studio, where they read through scripts to pick the right one for their next production. This app makes it easy and convenient for Movie Skits users, while on the go with their iPhone, to read the scripts others have written and published to the site and then rate and review, like, or save to favorites, as well as follow our latest contests and read and vote on contest entries.
Movie Skits members use the Write scripts section of the web site to input scripts for skits with easy to use script markup language. That text markup gets converted into a Hollywood formatted script. We hope to also have this Write Scripts feature also available soon in this app. When the writer publishes a script to Movie Skits, users of the website and the Movie Skits Script Studio app can read, rate, review, favorite/save, and like the scripts, and then see which scripts rank highest by genre and category.
Script authors who publish to the site are also agreeing to allow other users to make a video skit from their script, as long as the video skit maker gives the author credit and publishes the video skit back to the Movie Skits web site. The video will then show under the script, so readers of the submitted scripts can view videos made from them just below the written script. So if during your browsing through scripts in this app you find one you like in the app, save it to favorites. Then when your video skit production is finished, go to the website to upload and embed your video skit on the script’s page.
