Description
A stroke can result in double-sided loss of visual field.Vision Compensatory Training (VCT) trains the brain to look in the direction of field loss using the Maze game and the StreamLights reading aid.
VCT aims to help patients suffering from homonymous hemianopia, e.g., following a stroke, to improve their visual overview. It includes two functions:
The Maze – a labyrinth-like game that trains the patient to look in the direction of their vision loss.
StreamLights – a reading aid .
For best effect, VCT should be run on an iPad, but an iPhone may also be used.
Please note that VCT can never cure homonymous hemianopia but can help you adapt to your vision loss.
